Black Bean Crackers

Wonderfully tasty and crisp, these crackers are brilliant with hummus or any dip you may enjoy.

Tasty, healthy and easy to make, once you start having these crackers with your dips you won't want to go back to store-bought.

  • 1 can Black beans
  • 1 Tblsp Dr Greger's Spice mix See notes
  • 2 Tblsp Sunflower seeds
  • 2 Tblsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Arrowroot See notes
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 1 Tblsp Dr Greger's Spice mix See notes
  • 2 Tblsp Sunflower seeds
  • 2 Tblsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Arrowroot See notes
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 175°C / 350°F
  2. Place all ingredients into a food processor.
  3. Blend until mixture forms into a ball - you will need to scrape down the sides.
  4. Place baking paper onto an oven tray.
  5. Place mixture on top.
  6. Place a 2nd piece of baking paper on top.
  7. Roll out the mixture to the edges until thin.
  8. Score with a knife into the desired sized squares.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes until colour has deepened and crackers are firm to touch.
  10. Allow to cool before snapping into shapes.
Recipe Notes
  1. Dr Greger's spice mix recipe Here. You can use whatever spices you like to add up to 1 tablespoon.
  2. Arrowroot - you can replace with Tapioca flour. 1/2 cup = 6 Tablespoons.
