Your Food

The Chinese believe that there are three main parts of our body that promote health and wellbeing.

  • The Mind
  • The Heart
  • The Gut.

If we can get all three into balance we will live longer and remain healthy.

What's in your gut?

What is important is what we give the gut to feed on. You see our gut (that includes the stomach and intestines) are full of around 1000 species of microorganisms and each individual has its own species. I appears that, just like animals, it depends on the ecosystem you have as to what type of organisms will be inhabiting your gut.
Now I’m not going to go into the nitty gritty of all this you can learn more here: Video

Why are they important?

These massively essential little critters rule our body. They are the machine that drives us. They control everything. Simply put, what you give them to eat determines if they are good or if they are bad. Research has shown that those who follow an animal-based diet are far more likely to get colon cancer than those following a plant-based diet.

You want to have good gut bacteria to keep your whole system healthy and to get these little beautiful workers you need to feed them with whole plant foods. If you do that, your risk of disease drastically drops.
Tip: Try adding fermented foods.

Look after all three areas of you!

Your mind – Your heart – Your gut

and you will enjoy excellent health and youthfulness now and into your senior years.
